In a world of the mundane, there is a world of magick.
A small part of that magick is something called the bonded. This is were Wielders bond with fantastical Beast Familiars. Together these familiars enrich eachothers lives, and find a way to survive,
With Cards, Constellations, and Flames
n a mundane world, magick exists. Within that magick, are great beasts to be tamed and claimed as a Familiars.
These beast vary from Dire Owls and Black Cats, to the more exotic like Fauns and Banshees. Each unique and special and equally dangerous.
So what could make a Dragon agree to be a Familiar?

Two very impossible things have happened.
First: A Dragon has been claimed as a Familiar.
Second: A Dragon has been kidnapped.
Zephyr has avoided Wielder Society and the Mageria her entire life. They are pretentious and treat magick as a means to their selfish ends. She prefers the comfort of her tarot cards, her remote cabin, and her Dragon Familiar. But when the other dragon goes missing, they set out to find her and all the clues lead to the Mageria and its secrets.
Mattias is a born, bred, and bitter descendant of a Mageria Founder. His ancestors helped establish the Conservatoire and harness Bonded Magick and Arcana. The silver spoon in his mouth was merely the beginning for Mattias, but despite that, he is the only student at the Mageria who doesn't have a familiar, and he hates dragons. He dream is to bring an end to the last two in existence.
Together these two will collide on a very cold island, and both their fates will be decided by a very large dragon and a small deck of tarot cards.

With Cups, Covens, and Ichor

The Noctum Sanctuary is the school of the Dead, and home to the Covens. What happens when the living come to stay with the dead?

Zephyr and Mattias made quite an entrance at Noctum Sanctuary and with their arrival comes new and old troubles. They struggle to get their bearings in an impossible place, while also navigating their new relationships; with each other, their Dragons, and their new peers.
The Sanctuary for the Dead is abuzz with the Mortal Wielders who have joined them to study blood magick with the various Covens. All in the hopes that they could safely and humanly understand what Horst had done to manipulate nature and revive the Dragon species.
Cassiopeia, the oldest dead thing in the Sanctuary seems fascinated by the couple and their Dragon Familiars. Mattias and Zephyr are unsure if she wants to devour them, ravish them, or help them. Possibly all three.
Not all are welcoming in the Sanctuary, and soon nightmares happen, the cards are fearful and someone is working to steal the Dragons, again. Everything is uneasy and not completely safe. After all, Dragons are living fire and one of the two things that can end the undead.
The cards tell lies, and blood is to be paid.

With Pentacles, Prophets, and Eclipses
